Freymar

Freymar is an online store for frozen seafood.

Our task was to create a name for a new brand with a core idea that could be explained in just one or two sentences.

As part of our process, we conducted extensive research and decided to combine two Scandinavian syllables. Freya — the goddess of love and fertility. Mar — the sea. That's how we came up with the name Freymar — the seas ruled by Freya.

Refitum

Refitum is a liquidation trading service.

We had to come up with a catchy name for a developing service that would reflect the company's values and direction.

We developed a team called Refithum [Refitum]. In derived abstract entities, "mind" often connotes "place." A place where accessibility meets need.

Sanebi

Sanebi is one of the largest seafood suppliers.

We were tasked with creating a new delivery and restaurant brand that would convey an idea of quality and refined taste.

San is a polite Japanese address, plus Ebi means "shrimp." Together, the two syllables form a new word with a Japanese character. The name highlights the signature dish and emphasizes the careful attention to service.

Stage 1
Immersion and Strategy
We thoroughly study the task and immerse ourselves in the company's philosophy and unique characteristics. We define the brand's positioning.

Briefing

This is the first step where we gather key information about your brand, goals, and audience. We analyze your unique selling proposition (USP) and learn your story. It helps us gain a deeper understanding of the task and immerse ourselves in the brand's philosophy.

Audience and Competitor Analysis

At this stage, we study the target audience and analyze competitor companies from a naming and positioning perspective. We also examine the strategies of foreign market leaders.

Positioning Strategy

We meticulously analyze the market and competitors, identifying key meanings and defining potential directions for brand positioning. This approach helps us narrow the focus, set clear criteria, and develop a name that aligns with the company's DNA.

Name Search
We develop 50 to 100 name options using various methods and strategies, then compile a shortlist for the client presentation.

Associations and Metaphors

First, we create a map of associations, looking for meanings and creating new metaphors that reflect the brand's essence.

Shortlist and Selection

We compile a shortlist with the best options and test them against specific criteria. The criteria for selecting names include:

uniqueness;
memorability;
euphony;
emotional message;
concept; 
no conflicting interpretations.

The options that pass the initial stage undergo an in-depth check for patentability. Names that fail this check are eliminated.

Presentation

We then prepare a presentation with the "clean," ready-to-register names.

Testing
This stage helps us choose the most successful options based on the target audience's feedback.

Simple Testing

We launch several surveys among the brand's target audience. We study the research statistics and identify the most successful names from the consumers' point of view.

In-depth Testing

We prepare detailed questions for the target audience for each name option. We conduct the survey using a service like Yandex.Vzglyad, targeting your email list or a specific geolocation. We then compile the analytics into a simple and clear report.

Registration
We manage the entire process, from preparing the trademark application to obtaining the official certificate.

Application and Registration

Our team verifies the name's uniqueness and assists with the trademark application process (with Rospatent or another relevant authority).

This step protects your brand from being copied and grants you the official right to use the name.
